In the last 150 years the average temperature of the climate has increased by 1°C and we are heading to 1.5°C in the next 20 years; this is already causing flooding, wildfires and extreme weather. We all need to do our bit to combat global warming by reducing our carbon footprint. Cars create 15% of the UK’s carbon emissions and our journey offsetting scheme, created in partnership with Go Climate Positive, is an easy way for you to contribute.
For every tonne of carbon that your journeys create, we will purchase a carbon credit verified by Gold Standard, the organisation setup by WWF to ensure projects that reduce carbon emissions feature the highest levels of environmental integrity. Each carbon credit verifies that 1 tonne of carbon has been removed from the atmosphere, so that your journeys become carbon neutral.
We would encourage you to reduce the miles that you drive to reduce the carbon that is emitted, but by participating in our Journey Offsetting programme you will know that the journeys you need to take are not contributing to global warming.
